Mario Silva, A Canadian First

Mario is the first Portuguese-Canadian to serve in the Canadian Parliament. He served on the Standing Committee on Human Rights, Skills Development and status of persons with disabilities and is currently on the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage. In addition, Mario is the vice-chair of the Interparliamentary Union and the Chair of the Caucus Committee.
