The COPA Awards (Celebrating Outstanding Portuguese Achievement) were created to honour the great achievements of the many Portuguese Canadians across the country, and to celebrate individuals who serve as role models and showcase what can be achieved when hard work, commitment and passion are fully embraced. Once every two years, six recipients are chosen in the following fields of excellence: Arts & Culture, Athletics, Education & Academia, Vision and Leadership.
